Arizona Centennial Commemorative quilt on display
As Arizona revs up for its centennial celebration in February of 2012, a teaser is on view at the Arizona Historical Society museum in Tempe. The work of many hands, this large, extraordinary piece of textile art joins other smaller quilts from what will be added to the year-long exhibit of 100 Quilts from 100 Arizona Quilters starting February 18 at the Arizona Historical Society’s Tucson branch. This is an amazing piece of work. The items placed at their apppropriate place within the state adds to the overall understanding of Arizona. I look forward to seeing it in person at the Tempe museum.
